Perimenopause and menopause can affect far more than your menstrual cycle. Changes in estrogen, progesterone, and other hormones may contribute to symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats, disrupted sleep, mood changes, brain fog, vaginal dryness, discomfort with intercourse, and changes in sexual health.

At Restore Wellness Collective, we provide individualized hormone care designed around your symptoms, medical history, goals, and stage of the menopause transition. When hormone therapy is appropriate, we primarily use FDA-approved bioidentical estradiol and micronized progesterone and continue to monitor and adjust treatment as your needs change. The amount and type of hormone therapy used can vary from person to person, ensuring your plan is safe, effective, and designed to help you feel your best. With proper care and monitoring, HRT can significantly improve quality of life by reducing uncomfortable symptoms, supporting bone health, improving sleep, and enhancing overall well-being.

The cost for a comprehensive consultation is $275. Ongoing care is $75 per month and can be canceled at any time.

Frequently Asked Questions

We believe in transparency and patient education to ensure you feel comfortable every step of the way. Understanding that starting HRT is a significant decision for any woman, we're here to provide honest guidance and personalized support tailored to your unique health journey. Below we've compiled the most common questions we receive about Women’s Hormone Replacement Therapy.

Hormone replacement therapy, or HRT, is a treatment option used to help manage symptoms associated with hormonal changes during perimenopause and menopause.
Depending on your individual needs, treatment may include estrogen, progesterone, and, in select circumstances, testosterone.
At Restore Wellness Collective, HRT is never a one-size-fits-all protocol. Treatment is individualized based on your symptoms, medical history, stage of the menopause transition, risk factors, preferences, and goals.

No. Many women begin experiencing symptoms during perimenopause, often years before their periods stop completely.
You do not have to wait until menopause to be evaluated. If menopause-related symptoms are interfering with your quality of life, we can evaluate your history and symptoms and discuss whether hormone therapy or another treatment option may be appropriate.

At Restore Wellness Collective, we primarily use FDA-approved bioidentical* estradiol and micronized progesterone when clinically appropriate.
For select patients, testosterone therapy may also be considered after individualized evaluation. Because there is currently no FDA-approved testosterone formulation specifically designed for women in the United States, we may use carefully dosed compounded transdermal testosterone cream when appropriate.
Not every patient needs every hormone. Your treatment plan is based on your individual needs rather than a predetermined hormone “package.”

*Bioidentical means that a hormone has the same molecular structure as a hormone naturally produced by the human body. Importantly, bioidentical does not mean that a medication has to be compounded. FDA-approved bioidentical hormone medications are available, including forms of estradiol and micronized progesterone. We preferentially use FDA-approved hormone medications when an appropriate option is available.

Hormone therapy is available in several forms, and the appropriate delivery method depends on the hormone being used and your individual needs.
Estradiol may be prescribed in forms such as a transdermal patch or other appropriate preparations. Micronized progesterone is commonly taken orally. Vaginal estrogen may also be used when appropriate for vaginal or urinary symptoms associated with menopause.
If testosterone therapy is appropriate, we use a carefully dosed transdermal cream.
Your provider will discuss the available options and recommend a treatment approach based on your symptoms, history, preferences, and risk factors.

Hormone therapy can be an appropriate treatment option for many women, but it is not right for everyone.
The potential benefits and risks depend on several factors, including your age, symptoms, medical history, personal and family history, medications, and the type and route of hormone therapy being considered.
Before recommending treatment, we complete an individualized evaluation and discuss potential benefits, risks, and alternatives so that you can make an informed decision about your care.

Every patient responds differently.
Some symptoms may begin improving relatively quickly, while others can take several weeks or longer. Treatment may also require adjustment as we determine which dose and delivery method work best for you.
Our goal isn't simply to start medication. We continue working with you to develop a treatment plan that is effective, appropriate, and sustainable.

As with any medication, hormone therapy can cause side effects.
Depending on the treatment being used, these may include breast tenderness, spotting or changes in bleeding, bloating, headaches, skin irritation from transdermal products, or other symptoms.
Many side effects improve as the body adjusts or can be addressed by changing the dose or delivery method. We encourage patients to communicate with us about any new or bothersome symptoms so we can determine whether an adjustment is appropriate.

There is not one predetermined length of time that is right for every patient.
Some women use hormone therapy for a limited period, while others may choose to continue longer when the benefits continue to outweigh the risks for their individual situation.
We periodically reassess your symptoms, health history, treatment goals, and risk factors and make decisions about continuing, adjusting, or discontinuing therapy together.

Fact: You can safely stop HRT at any time under medical guidance. Many women use it temporarily during the menopausal transition, while others may choose longer use depending on how they feel and their long-term goals.

Myth: Once you start HRT, you can never stop

Fact: HRT is not one-size-fits-all, but for many women it is safe and beneficial when carefully prescribed and monitored. For most healthy women under age 60 or within 10 years of menopause, the benefits of HRT often outweigh potential risks. We tailor therapy to your individual needs and health profile.

Myth: HRT is unsafe & increases risk of cancer

Fact: While some women may notice temporary bloating or fluid retention, HRT itself does not directly cause weight gain. In fact, by restoring hormone balance, many women find it easier to maintain a healthy weight.

Myth: HRT always causes weight gain.
